Get your audience on their feet to stay engaged

--

What a difference a new keynote opening can make.

I took onboard some feedback from David Meade after my inVOYAGE talk a few weeks ago and he suggested an interactive element at the very start of my talk.

I had a chance to introduce this at the CPA Australia Congress in London over the weekend.

It had an amazing impact from the very first second. I was the closing keynote to what had been a full day at the event so I needed to engage the audience from the very start.

What did I do that was so different? Watch the first 2 minutes of my talk below.

You may also wish to view the full replay of the talk.

What are you doing to engage your audience in those first few seconds, either in-person or online?

Thank you to Colleen Schooling, Joanne McMurray and Frances Lai for having me at the event and Suzanne Waldron for being a fantastic MC.

Thanks also JLA (Speaker Bureau) for booking me.
